Seminars

CDR enjoys the many opportunities we have to share our knowledge of construction related issues in a seminar forum. Such forums combine easy to follow hand-outs, multimedia presentations and hands-on models for demonstrative exhibits. Interaction with the participants is encouraged, as are post seminar correspondence and "real world" site visits.

Examples of our past construction-related seminars:

  • Construction Contracts
  • New Construction and Mechanic Liens
  • Field Seminar for Builders
  • Residential Construction Practices
  • Introduction to Seismic Retrofit
  • Seismic Retrofit for Washington State: Safety and Legal Issues
  • Quality in the Workplace
  • SRA Homeowners Training
  • Construction Seminar for Homeowners and Contractors
  • Exterior Weatherproofing and EIFS Conference
  • EIFS Parts I and II
  • Exterior Waterproofing Review
  • Mold in Construction
  • Technical Aspects of Inspecting Barrier EIFS Systems
  • Avoiding Litigation in Construction Documents
  • Dispute Resolution: Options, Information Required and A Lawyer's Perspective
  • Residential Construction Practices

he knowledge CDR's experts have gained in construction and real estate matters, is applied when analyzing real estate transaction related issues. It is CDR's pleasure to be able to share this knowledge in a seminar forum to real estate brokers and sales personnel. Due primarily to the fact that the principals of CDR are licensed real estate brokers only in the state of Washington, we have limited our credit and non-credit trainings to this area of the northwest. We look forward to the opportunity to conduct similar seminars in other states, as most of the issues we cover are universal.
