  n 1993, after twenty three years working in the construction industry as a laborer, carpenter and general contractor, and twelve years of periodically serving as an expert witness and mediator in construction disputes, Mike Showalter established Construction Dispute Resolution, Inc. (CDR) as a multi-faceted vehicle for alternative dispute resolution. A pioneer in this field, Mike was convinced that settlement outside of court was possible to reach in the vast majority of construction disputes, and he became an avid proponent of mediation, arbitration, and expert fact-finding & consulting.
  s a result CDR is now a well-known and respected firm of construction experts whose focus is the resolution of disputes involving the purchase, sale, development, construction or remodeling of real property. Our work includes, among other services, the specialty areas of insurance claims, construction defects, building envelope applications, and issues related to water intrusion. CDR's services extend to attorneys, owners, contractors, suppliers, insurers and brokers. Our goal is to help clients avoid or minimize the time, cost and personal disruption associated with lengthy litigation.
